If you plan on making big power than just go with the LT's now and save yourself the work later on. If not, than just go with a simple set of shorties. Like posted above.... this arguement can go on forever!

i think ill prolly just do the shorties for the sake of budget and i want to end up after most of the modding to be right aruond 350 hp, so i think shorties will be sufficient.

I have BBK LTs, and I put them on when I was in the process of putting in a new clutch and pressure plate. I had the 5-speed trany out and seen how easy it would be to put some LT headers on with all the room with out the trany in. It was pretty easy putting the headers on then putting the trans in. Sp my vote is for the LTs. Why settle for anything less?

LT's aren't a "bigger" exhaust. You can get 1 5/8 primaries that go into a collector just like the shorties you're talking about. They simply flow better.

...and yes, a 3" exhaust on a mostly stock or mildly modified car will kill any backpressure.

i have a 95 cobra mustang with minor mods like u list and i got me some mac lts and a prochamber... and while hte install is a bitch.... theres nothing like turning that engine over for the first time after a set of lts on there.... i had a **** eating grim on my face for hours... like a lil kid gettin candy!!! lol.. my vote lt headers... just dont get the 1 3/4 with the 3" collector... they will equal no back pressure which basically screws u

When we put ours in my dad didnt want to scratch them so we wrapped them with a couple of old shirts. It kept them from getting scratched. Id definitely get LTs.
