Your not going to need 3" exhaust with matching porting on LTs until 550hp+ anything under 300hp with 3"s will actually depreciate performance

i think i will go up to a 3" just because i still have plans on making it a 331 and putting some boost to it

if there are more opinions i would still like to read them

I think he was just hoping people would say its all right to do. I'd definitly putting 1 3/4 headers on my 86 with a 3 inch exhaust. Its not like the car is going to have any low end anyway.
