My Vert will let you put the top up and down at any speed, which is nice if I am at a stop light or something and want to put it down, but not stop traffic (I have put it down at like 10MPH) but my mom's 06 the top stops moving once you pass like 3 MPH. Kinda freaked me out at first when I tried it doing a slow roll.

yea itll let you but deff dont do it over like 10mph like you said, otherwise your gonna end up with some twisted metal.... I do it sometimes as well, but usually at a stop sign or light when i put it up or down.

i know this is my thread and this is irrelevant but in spite of this accident my dad told me a story. his friend had just bought a 75 trans am t-top, bought it new. so it was the owner, my dad in the front seat, and another guy crammed in the back. well as there cruising the guy in the back screams "FIRE RETRO ROCKETS!!" and pulled the handle and launched both t-tops...i would have probably killed the guy

That's exactly why they changed the way the tops go up and down in the later models, LoL. It was happening too many times. So they made it so that you had to have your ebrake on (at least one click) to take the top up and down.

lol im not surprised. And to the firing rockets comment...thats even worse since it was a guy...[>:]
