Intake on my '94??

RE: Intake on my '94??
Hey I REALLY appreciate the advise!! I was looking at all kinds of CAI kits. The MAC is what I was looking at for $180......but It looks identical to the no name kits for $50. I guess for now, I'll leave my TB alone, not realizing with the stock Maf, it doesn't pay....For now, I think I will start with a CAI, I was looking at ceramic coded shorty headers, a MAC off-road H pipe, and doing Borla sidpipes from there.......Sound alright so far?
I deffintly agree gears should be one of the firsts! I was planning on going 3:73, becasue of it being a 5-speed car, and suggestions of manufacture? I see there are alot out there for about the same money.....Ford Racing is what I was thinking?
Thanks Again!

Just get a cheap one off ebay, a ton of guys here use them. Just get a good filter for it. 373 will be perfect, ford racing is a great brand to go with on thsoe. And ceramic coated headers are good, i'd look at bbk, the ceramic coated ones stay better looking for longer. And a o/r H pipe will help alot, but id match the exhaust components, like bbk to bbk, or mac to mac. Borla side bibes would be cool, never heard them before tho.

I figured if the price is comparible, Ford Racing should usually be a good bet.......That makes sense keeping makes to makes. You don't see the sidepipes often, but they are out there. They were stock on the Boss edition GT in 1994. A friend of mine bought his 95 with them on. The side skirts are SVO....from what I understand, it was an option through SVO, that used Borla for the actually exaust kit itself.

Say WHAT now? the EGR is definitly NOT internal... it bolts to the outside of the intake manifold.
Start off with the simple stuff, unfortunatly the stock GT motor is hindered by the E7TE heads. If you wanna get some good results, start with a full exhaust, cold air intake (ebay ones fit fine and only cost around $35) You DO NOT need to upgrade your MAF yet, the stock 70mm will be fine. IF you decide to get a TB, dont go any bigger than 65mm, especially on stock intake and heads.
After you do some small power adding mods, thing about gears, upper and lower rear control arms, and suspension.

yeah, dont bother with a TB until you get a new intake...the EGR on 94-95s is internal, and its the same size as your stock TB, so a bigger one does you absolutely no good. if its a bone stock car, then your first upgrade should be your gears. 3.73s for a five speed and 4.10 for an auto.

i think one post was plenty
aslso, the main difference in intakes are the filters... and some may fit better than others... stick with a name brankd(mac, k&n, BBK) and you should be ok... also, a 70mm TB is useless because your mass air flow meter isnt that large, not is the opening in your intake.
