How to install roller rockers??
that exact ? what tools do you need? comp cams pro magnum steel are best choice right? do you need to turn every piston to top dead center individually?

RE: How to install roller rockers??
the Comp rockers are a good choice. regular socket wrenches is all you need to install rocker arms. remove the valve covers and remove the old rockers and install the new ones making sure the pushrod end is properly placed in the end of the rocker before you tighten it down all the way. you will need to remove the upper intake manifold in order to remove the passenger side valve cover. it will take most of the pressure off the rocker is you turn the engine with a wrench so that the valve is closed before you try to change the rocker but that don't mean you have to get each piston to top dead center, just so the valve is closed is OK.

You can just remove the throttle body roundman. I replaced my valve cover gaskets early this spring and that's what I had to do in order to get that one off. The gasket set is only like six bucks too for the throttle body.

hey roundman/ anyone, the comp cams magnum/promagnum are only stud mount rockers so how would they work on the stock heads? i thought they were pedestal mount heads, and i thought they were not interchangeable. if i cant use them can anyone suggest a good pedestal mount lightweight steel rocker with the roller bearing tip? thanks

I used the Crane roller rockers and they were a direct bolt in replacement for the stockers just like roundman said. Very easy to install, you may want to look into a set of these instead.
