What is needed to convert ac?

what parts do i need to convert from the r12 to the new 134a coolant?

just go to your local parts store (advanced auto parts or autozone) and they have a kit for about 30 bucks with coolant and all the kit you need to change over. Thats what i did to mine and it is as cold as ice. I am not too sure on the price but it is well worth the price. hope this could help.

Yeah that's pretty much what we use at my work. An AC retrofit kit. Gives you o-rings and such different lubricant, different hi and o side caps to use 134 machines. Vacuum the system, recharge it, get cold air.
