92cobra

Hey guys, im new to the forum and im getting ready to purchase a mustang. I was wondering if you guys could tell me abit about the car, whether it really is a good deal etc considering i couldnt find many reviews. Heres the add.

FORD '92 Mustang GT/HO Cobra, auto, loaded, good shape, 114,000 mi, forest green tutone, fox style, $4800.

i know its an automatic, but its still a 5.0 and im sure it will last for awhile, he sounds like hes taken great care of the car and it looks like its in pretty good shape. The price is negotiable, im going to see if i cant get him down to say 4200 or so.

how does this deal sound, and are there any major things i should look for / ask when test driving this car, it will be my first owned mustang.

ps: is this car fast stock, or can it be made fast?

no cobras in '92....I would put it up on ramps to look underneath and pull the wheels..and do a carfax...check for leaks etc..

92 stock they made 225hp and 300tq and yes these cars can be made to go fast
ask y is he selling it, y does he say its a cobra when they didnt make any in 92

one they did not make a cobra in 92. two, thats too much money for a car with 118K on it. I got mine for $200 dollars more with 80K on it owned by an old lady never abused in excellent condition. and i feel like I overpayed. keep looking and be patient. 5.0's are everywhere so dont jump on the first one you look at.... trust me. been there done that.

The seller/buyer probably lives in Canada for it to be a "cobra". I think it's a good price. The price of the car really depends on your area. I paid $5K for my bolt on, aod '93 lx hatch that had 134K miles when I bought it. I also live in a town with a population of less then 200,000. If I would have drove 5 hours to the DFW area I could have gotten one with less miles, possibly a 5 speed, and cheaper.

Nah, she never beat on the car though from what I can tell. All stock, interior 100% PERFECT except for ashtray door broke... and i can tell she owned it because the ashtray was filled with a bunch of pennies when i baught it lol
