dont let people bs you, and tell you that aods, suck, a stock aod, with a valve body, and converter, is alot cheaper than a built t5, or any five speed, for that matter, and it wont break. stock aods are stronger than any stock t5 ever will be,

also mid 12's is easy on stock engine with slicks,
a buddy of mine has an 86 notch witha 150 shot, maybe only a 100 cant remember, stock rear, stock trans, stock 2.73 gears, stock interior, and he busted off 12.5-6, with no problem, nothing like launching a 5,000 rpm with mt et streets baby, i told him it wont last long, but you can t tell them crazy puertiricans what to do,(thats not a racial joke, so i dont want to hear no crying about it) he also has a starlet witha rotary engine that runs 11's on juice. shifts at 14,000 rpm, launces at 10,000, its got wheelie bars and a narrowed 9 inch rear.

+1 My point exactly. And I also use Mickey Thompson E/T Drag 26x8.5x15 slicks, and 26x4.5x15 front runners.

The t-5 has gone behind alot of motors, an interesting one is the 280z, i love my t-5 and would never trade it for an aod, but i am willing to sacrifice some strength to shift by myself, i think autos are for ******, its easy to put your foot in it and sit their all the way down the track.

I wish that was the case. What's the fun in missing a shift or trashing your tranny by powershifting it?

thats true..i hate missing shifts.. and i havent powershifted mine yet.. well.. basicly cause i am not interested in rebuilding it quite yet.. but....... a good driver in a stick can be just as consistent as a good driver in an auto..... like it's been said before. the best mod you can do is the driver mod.

True, we all have our own tastes, there's no reason to discriminate against each other though.

i have to shift my auto. so if its just that you like to shift you can always put a full-manual vb in a auto.
