Right now I still have the stock H-pipe with all 4 cats in place and it has just over 100k. I'd like to put another H-pipe on with a set of hi-flow cats, but with the price I'm going to have a hard time getting the wifey on board without there actually "being a problem" with them. Any one have an idea? It sounds like most guys are just ripping them off and going with an o/r pipe but with emissions here, I don't want to be bothered with changing it over or deal with a fine if I'm caught and having my wife stomp my nuts into the dirt.

just go with an off road h pipe... cats are robbing you of power

Just tell her with that many miles they can go bad at any time leaving you stranded and in need of a tow. So say you are changing them as preventive maintenence and they will pay for them selfs in the long run. Making the car more realiable.

i put a o/r x pipe on mine and i regret it becuasse of the smell it smells bad if i had the oppurtunity to redo what i did i would rather get a hi flow cats

I might have to play that angle since we got this as our "family" car. It looks like I'll be waiting until spring anyway since I've got to drop $800 on tires for my Durango.

Don't listen too him.If your car requires emissions like mine and alot of other people.Just get it done,Going from 4 cats down two 2 cats you will l feel a differents in power.They have alot of good deals on ebay thats where I bought my high flow cats for my car at half the price and they were like new.Where I live my car won't even pass inspection until I get the Emissions to pass.So you know you can go around getting illegal inspections done and the bull **** or do it right like you said, It aint worth it when you get caught! the car has 2 cats with 2 watch they called pre-heaters......I have a h-pipe with cats on my basic bolt on car,runs real good,sounds great..and passing the mirror test
