Actually, that will run in eather .5, 1, 2, 4, or 8 ohm. (You would only use 2 VC's for 1ohm & 4 VC's for .5ohm)
And no FlyingHigh you are wrong. Those voice coils just give you more options for what ohms you are able to run it at.

ok lol damnnn I guess this is more confusing than what I thought. Maybe if yall used some examples it would help me more. Tell me some different way I could hook up this sub. How many amps with what ohms and how many channels. And what do yall think would give me the best setup. Thanks for yall's efforts.

Honestly, I do not know how to run multiple amps to one speaker. Probably is not more complicated than working out the correct ohms on a speaker. But I dunno' the multiple amp technique. Never had the need to do it. Usually one amp is all you need for a speaker.
If I were doing it though. I would just get a big amp that you can bridge to 1ohm, and run your speaker to 1ohm.

ok so if I only use 1 amp. I get a one ohm amp??? Man somebody just explain this too me. I don't get how I have a sub with (4) 2 ohm voice coils and I'm suppose to use a 1 ohm amp????? I don't get it. And I dont get when I am lookin at amps, I see so and so watts and 1 ohm....so and so watts and 2 ohm..... and so on. So I can wire it for different ohms? How do I do that? So I'm guessing yall r saying to wire this paticular sub at 1 ohm, and with a mono channel amp. If so how do I wire it for 1 ohm. Do I use all 4 voice coils or what??????

Go to the wiring diagram, and enter your info. It'll show you a diagram of how to wire.

You could get 2 DVC 4ohm subs and wire it to 1ohm, they run really good like that. I have 2 15's runnin at 1ohm on a 600D, and it puts tons of things to shame, it should be around 135spl, on a 600 watt amp.

RE: Audio guys please help with quad voice coil sub
the only problem with those wiring diagrams is they only have options for single voice coils and dual voice coils not quad voice coils. Now If I can wire it with only 2 of the voice coils using the dual voice coil diagram them let me know, but I am not sure about that.
And the problem with gettting two subs is I already had it set in my head that I was going to get this 1 sub and I already have the box for it and everything. That's why I'm so headstrong on figuring out how to make this work.

Yes you can. The diagram that will explain how to make a 4ohm DVC run at 2ohm is how you will wire 2 of your 2ohm coils to run at 1ohm. That one speaker should be fine. Though it looks to be a little over the top in my opinion.
Here is the Amp you need.
