an str-4 is a good car from a roll (if you boost brake) <--- ricer term but with a set of good tires and driver mod you should be about even from a dig srt-4 have horable lag and spin wildly off the line, i spanked one in my car from a dig, a roll was a totaly different story tho

you will take the SRT off the line but then they catch up and take the win, I know my buddy has one. I never raced a R32 though so I can't say anything. They have 240 all wheel hp NA which is the same hp rating as a SRT....

+1 the srt's catch up fast but if you can launch hard enough with out spinning most of the time you can pull off the win by about 1/2 a car, atleast thats how it worked out for me at the track won 3 out of 5 but by like the length of my front bumper, and longer of a race and they would have me no problem... stock 94 with proxy 4's launch at about 3k at the track the decent driver mod had a good part with the wins

SRT stock SRT will murder you. Believe me it happened to me. Took em off the line but as soon as I hit 3rd it was over, he was ahead of me by 6 cars at least.
Once their turbo spools up they are gonzo.

Now a set of gears, some tires and a little nitrous you will kill them.

Nowadays I just toy with the skittles, not even worth really racing them for money its no competition (when I get traction) I figured out how to drive without spinning the tires too much.

SRT's are faster than the neon stereotype puts them at... they destroy a stock 5.0 (1/4 mile times are low 14's). As for the R32's I have no clue, never been interested in VW's.

i've beat an R32 but not by much. i worked all summer this year for a custom VW shop after graduating high school and raced an R32. We had the same mods (cold air intake, exhaust, the usuals). You cant out accelerate one because they have AWD but i pulled ahead in 3rd gear. A regular golf with a 1.8L turbo wiht a computer chip and CAI kicked my *** though

Never raced a R32, but I walk on SRT-4's all day.

But I also got alot of stuff in my car + wieght reduction..

I also beat other boosted cars, like a Saab S9, and a older 240..
