Default Need quick help!!!

is there an easy way to tighten up the top screw of a strut with out the srtut turning???ive tried holding it but the strut keeps moving...i even tried holding the rod with channel locks and it still moves...its also leaving groves in the rod...what do i do?

i used a real long screw driver in the top of the strut where it is slotted and a wrench.

typically there is either a hex head on the piston rod for the strut, or even a groove.... take another good look, maybe a picture or two.. and figure it out

+1 use an impact wrech! easiest and quickest way.
