and i'm not completely stuck on the TF... just lookin for suggestions and readin over the forums i was under the impression that the TF was the best bang for the buck

why not a stroker?
because i want to get this project on the road... i have had it for a while and i'm gettin antsy. It would cost more and concequently take longer to get a stroker for it, so i'll just do that later.

Also... i was lookin at the TF manifolds on summit... this is probably a dumb question but whats the deal with the "basic operating RPM range"? shoudlnt it just be like idle-6500 ish? or is there something i need to know...

and probably another stupid question but i am under the impression that that motor is EFI, but it says "carb. included- no" on the overview. So whhat is it...?

thanks again guys

yea, thats a common misconception. I love all these guys that are gun-ho trick flow... they spend $2200 on a top end kit, and produce less power that my stock motor cobra makes... and i just have a tune.

If you wanna make good power for less money, piece the motor together by yourself... im not saying you need to do the full rebuild yourself, but you can buy a shortblock for $749, drop some ported gt-40P heads on it $500, and throw a nice cam in it $185, maybe ven a cobra intake $300. And be running 10:1 compression with 300+ rwhp

and youve STILL spend less money than buying a trick flow top end kit

That sounds like a good plan but i think i'm gonna stick with the crate motor... its puttin out 345hp and its only got 9:1 compression which will be better when i blow it. But as for the cobra... how does that size up with the TF and Edelbrock?

its only putting out 345 BHP which will end up being around 260-270 at the wheels...

I know, everyone I have ever seen with bolt ons and a t/w top end kit puts down about 260rwhp not the 300 everyone says. Im with you, you can make a lot more peiceing it together.
