hey guys

hi i was wondering if any one knew about electronics around here. im restoring my new 91 5.0 and im still pretty new to the game of cars and electrical . when im in 5th gear or high rpms my window wont roll up all the way or its sluggish


so im trying to solve it my self but i just need a bit of help i already have a multimetter i jsut dont konw where to read the volts from to see if i have corosion or bad wires..[].?

 

high rpms? sounds like you've got ground problems with the alternator. too much resistance. start there.

 

Mattdel may be right but if that checks out ok, try the speed test.

When im going over 50 on the freeway my drivers side window wont go up all the way. It goes right up if i slow down. If your window has wobble to it, the wind can catche the window just so that the window wont seat up top properly. Slow down and see if they go up.

As for the sluggishness, it may be nothing more than a worn window motor, they do wear out. I took notice in a parts catolog there are 2 window motors, ones low torque and ones high torque. I just need to find the catolog now.
