wow 11.0:1 is really high for boost...especially if you plan to run pump gas. i'd be surprised if you could run 6psi on pump. i too would've recommended nitrous but i know you spray the bucket...had a sc'd stang... and were probably looking for something differerent. you should look into water/methanol injection as well if you plan to use pump. those are nice heads...the cam isn't ideal but it will do. you should have no problem reaching 400whp but definitely stay under 500whp with that block if you want it to last...especially since it's got a good buck in it. it should fly down the track with that stall/trans and the suspension dialed in. again good luck and keep us posted
besides getting xspower (and a few other of the "less expensive" brands...that was being nice) to fit properly without chopping everything up (as adderm2k so bluntly put it) is just plain quality. i know more than a few people who bought a turbo(s) from them and some of them didn't last even 1k miles or even a few hours. no i'm not exaggerating. i've heard plenty more stories that are similar on the web. one guy had an impellar blade shread and pretty much destroy his engine. when he took off the kit he noticed the turbine section was cracked on the other turbo as well. a few dsm guys i know bought their t3/t4 manifolds and every single one of theirs cracked or blew out the welds (all of them heard about the turbo quality and didn't buy the whole kit). personally i don't see how they're still in business...but i guess it's because people see the cheap price (whole kits for under 1,500 bucks usually) and get sucked in. the personal stories i told happened about 2 years ago so hopefully something has changed...but i doubt it because their prices haven't. 9/10 times you get what you pay for.

Thanks for the input guys. I did some research on XS and it looks as though they have had some quality issues, but most all of them are from awhile back. There was one really good site I found where they had a good write up and lots of pics on what to look for as far as XS' quality. I pulled my turbos out and by comparing them to the pics and what to look for.....they, as far as I can tell...look good. I am a firm believer of getting what you pay for, but like I said...my wonderful wife got this kit for me for an early Christmas present, GAWD...she is the best.

BEFORE YOU BOLT THE KIT ON .
1. Install cometic thick .060 head gaskets, stock ones WILL BLOW. they WILL NOT
2. that will also LOWER your compression ratio.
3. you have the option of a HEAD SHIM to lower compression as well.
4.turn that timing down to 8 degrees.

are these the 700 dollar ebay ones? one of my friends decided to buy one for his car just because he wants to do something different and hasnt ever used a turbo before. all his other cars he's always just ran all motor. the guy definately knows his **** and decided to buy the kit even after seeing the kit in person from another guy that bought one. i cant wait to see the car when its done. so now there are 2 people in my city with those ebay kits.
