Road Head? What was I thinking? I will have to have a chat with the wife. She is very supportive of me. Thanks for jogging my memory.

I still have sand in my old boots from Desert Shield/Storm. The Short Timers Disease must be hit-n Ya pretty hard right now! Enjoy your trip back home and have a safe trip.

Headed to the sandbox in about August/September myself. Im stationed at Ft. Stewart, GA with 3rd ID 4BD 6-8 CAV. Being an 11C I doubt I'll actually get to do my job there sense they really have no use for us now there. Be like everyone else and playing Policeman it sounds like. Glad that another fine soldier is coming home safe after being in that **** hole.

Yes, this is the truth and I wish more Americans could see it. The biggest hurdle this country has is secretarian violence. These 2 major religous groups are heinous with each other and the innocent as well. I operate on the roads as a concoy commander,we run in the Al Anbar province around Bagdhad, Fallujah, Ramadi, and a few other places. These people's lives are getting better. I once had the chance to give a little girl my food and it was the most rewarding feeling I had. Once I gave it to her, she ran th her mother and her mother yelled back at me in Arabic, God Bless You. This situation is just like America, it only takes a handful of people to ruin the thought and images of the whole place. Are these people poverished, yes. Is it getting better because of us, yes. I run convoys with fuel for the hospitals, supplies, and every other thing in the world. I wouldn't trade this experience for the world, even thought today I am missing my 4 years old daughters birthday and listened on the phone as my 1 and a half year old son tried to tell me it was sissy's birthday. I have one solution for this country, this is coming from a car man's theory. We need to import Camaro's and Mustangs over here and let them go at it that way. These people have no speed limits, stop signs, traffic lights. That is the clear solution. Race till you die.
