my 94 cobra did fine in the snow last year, and i was running 275's on the rear too.... maybe it had to do with the driver mod
With snow tires Mustangs are very capable, mine was a beast in the snow. But I think it also has to do with knowing how to drive.

400 inches of snow last year and i live on a mountain, there is no way that i could drive Cobra with 315s on rear. I just park it an drive Expedition and excursion with studded snows.

as said earlier, Rear wheel drive and Snow do not mix

Hey dull_machete ,i am from lynden, i am in AZ going to school now. But I miss it so much, its beautiful up there in the summer. I do like driving the stang all year long here though. I say invest in an old ranger with 4wd, its a necessity up there, I love my baby to much to drive her in the nasty weather.

I would avoid the snow like the plague when it comes to a mustang. It can be done though with the proper driver mod. My 02 V6 mustang I used to have wasn't too bad in the snow. The traction lock REALLY helped though.

you guys must suck at driving i dont want to sound like an ******* but i got through the snow fine. i had to drive home in the middle of a blizzard there must have been 4 inches of snow already and it was only snowing for 2 hours took me 2 hours to get home when it should take 15 min but i made it up one steep *** hill i just sat back and counter steered my way passed all the front wheel drive cars that were stuck while the 4 wheel drive cars and trucks where hauling *** past me. all im saying is when there is a light dusting go out and find a parking lot have fun with it thats the only way you learn to control your car in the snow thats how i learned

I drove mine once for about 2 weeks in the snow while my other car was in the shop, it is tough to switch from a awd eagle talon with snow tires to a mustang in the snow!!! These just weren't made for the winter, sure you can drive them but I would avoid it if you can, plus you can't have any fun in them in the winter unless you just want to do dougnuts in a parking lot or something

plus winter is hard on cars, I really want mine to last so I never plan on driving it in the winter ever again

dude, im pretty sure they werent made for much other than dry pavement. Maybe i just lack control, but i have this terrible problem with drifting on the exit of corners. And thats with all season tires that are geared towards the wet...

it also sucks when your car is lowered alot cuz i bottoms out on every snowbank, and coming in the drive way u get hung up pretty easy too.

I had to drive my mustang in the snow (Marysville,WA) today and it sucked! I got stuck in 3-4" of snow. Its all about the right tires and mine are sport car tires.
