Last night i was leaving a cruise in, and went to turn my lights on and my washer started spraying and my wipers started as well. i thought i just hit the button by accident. well everytime i turn my lights on my wiper and washer start going. its only when the lights are on full, if i have my running lights on nothing else is on. And if i have my lights off and press the button to wash my windshield than my lights turn on??? can someone please tell me what might be going on with my car. fuses or something ihave no clue? plz help

 

There's something shorting out between those two power feed wires.

 

do you know where i would find these two power feed lines?? i have no clue where to begin with this problem?

 

I agree with 86HOGT...Check the multi-function switch for shorts in the wires. Older Mustangs tend to have problems with wires overheating and possibly causing shorts in the multi-function switch. Pull it out and check for burned insulation or insulation that may be brittle and breaking down with age.

 

Where would i find this multi function switch. after playing around with the wires and **** i found that one was unplugged. it fit into a place on the conection that leads to the coil??? i hope it was the right spot, anyways it fixed the problem. but now my washer pump doesnt work, could this be because it burnt up from over abuse when it was running while my lights were on?
