to add onto what i already said, poping out of gear could also mean a bad mainshaft bearing or cluster shaft bearing. it's hard to really tell untill you dive into the trans sometimes.

that could well be, but even if you do a simple syncro rebuild you'll be raplacing the bearings anyway. gear could be missing teeth too (unlikely tho)

you could check the fluid, but im willing to bet its your 1/2 syncro
+1 on syncros man.. and also just as an FYI, its a borg-warner t-5, not tremec.
My trans says borg warner and tremec on the side

i prolly did offer you one i offer it to most people that have problems with they're tranny's... as long as i can have the tranny for about a week or 2 (need time to schedule shop time with my school and time for parts to arrive) and i can't work on it from dec.20th -jan. 4th as long as you don't have any problems with that then yes the offer still stands

if it is popping out of first, it is most likey not a syncro issue as they are maily used to match rpms and get the tranny into a gear. if you've done a lot of powershifting then your 1-2 slider and or dogteeth on first gear are probly wearing causing the slider to pop out. I rebuild trannies also so let me know if you need and assistance or if you want to do business but 94 coupe obviously has first bids. i have a very respectible shop that i get all my parts for pretty much as cheap as possible. you are looking at about $85 for 1st gear, $85 for 1-2 slider and $190 for rubuild kit plus labor that we could discuss. drop me an email if interested: mpbauman@udel.edu
