Default tremec t5 need advice

it pops out of first when its cold and second just grinds. i know the front tranny seal is definitly leaking a little when its on a hill. so my question is do i have to have it rebuilt, or would it do that if the fluid was low. thanks

syncro shouldn't cause it to "pop" out of gear unless it's realy realy bad, yes low fluid will cause it to grind (depending on how low the fluid is) my guess is on a realy bad syncro tho

rebuilding it is replacing the syncro's, usualy that the only thing you replace other than bearing/bearing retainers

Clutch may need adjusting. If it's not going into gear all the way it can do that, too.

BTW, Tremec bought out Borg-Warner transmissions, so they are the same thing.

true that but all transmissoins that where made before they where bought out are still considered Borg Worner transmissions, after all that is the name stamped on the case of it
