351W dyno tune results - 350rwhp
Got the dyno runs completed.
results:
33* total timing
350rwhp and 363rwtrq
not bad.......... comes out to about 425hp at the crank.
Tuner said I probably have 20+rwhp waiting for me when I switch to long tube headers too.
150 shot should put me right at my goal of 500rwhp
24lbs injectors seemed to keep up also, so going to keep them for the time being
Got my 3.55 gears installed too along with new 31spline axles and Traction-Loc
WOW, what a difference those gears made.
Will get a pic of the dyno sheet and a vid up later tongiht.

Running strong
It was an SCT custom burn tune.
Still needs a little more work in mid range rpms, A/F's were still rich around 4,000 rpm
but we were out of time.
Tuner said I definately have 20 or more rwhp peak power missing
from the shorty headers.
70mm TB and 76mm MAF or not optimum for max power either.
get them upgraded eventually, maybe an Anderson Power Pipe too.
wouldnt be surprised to see gain of 30rwhp from 75mm TB, 90mm MAF, Longtube headers and PowerPipe
engine was also cooking after finally run.
Tuner said it would maybe read 365rwhp on nice cold engine.

What RPM's were the peak numbers at? I was gonna get the LT's for my swap, but it says they only fit with manual tranny's. Plus They are like twice the price of shortys, i guess that extra 20hp is why

Ok, Lets compare dyno sheets.

Top one is rwhp, installed in the car.
bottom one is crank hp, with huge long tubes and open air carb and no accessories
As you can tell with no restrictions the engine pulls right to 6,000rpm
but with the shorty headers and EFI intake it stops at 5,200
I think this is showing I have a serious restriction in the exhaust past that rpm
and is robbing that final top end peak power.
Longtubes and better TB/MAF should definately add 20-30rwhp
And if you look on engine dyno sheet it made 428hp at 5,200 rpm ........ 428 X .82 = 350rwhp
If I can continue the power band up to the 468hp at 5,900 rpm ......... 465 X .82 = 380rwhp
Shows you just how important all the little parts in the system are.
