MSD problem
I just have it wired in with the TFI adapter. The power leads are hooked to the solenoid. The TFI adapter should act as a plug and play adapter. it connects to the coil and distributor. Very simple there are no "wiring" instructions. Things just connect in the matching slots basically.
So I guess this is how you have it wired.

If what your problem is what I have guessed. You can unhook the red wire from the MSD box from the wire harness. Take a spare wire and jump the connection to the battery. This will just be to test your switched connection. With the red wire jumped to the battery, start the car. If it turns over and starts like it should, then that is the problem. If so, there are two things you can do. (1)Wire a wire from the red wire to a switch mounted in your car cab. Then a wire from the switch to the battery. You will need to switch that switch on and off when you stop and start the car. (2)Take the red wire and wire it to an accessory circuit that does not shut off when you start the car. If you cant do that, take it to some one to do.
