ok i already got an edelbrock carb msd wires blaster coil mac off road h pipe and mac dumps what else could i do to it to get a little more out of it befor jumpin inside the motor

ADVANCE TIMING, UNDER DRIVE PULLEYS, GEARS, NEVER A SMALL SHOT ALWAYS 100 AND ABOVE BUT REMEMBER TO RETART TIMING IF YOU SPRAY IT

i got an idea for you return that piece of crap edlebrock carb you got and get yourself a holley 600cfm with vacuum secondaries. oh and for an intake manifold get an edlebrock rpm air gap best one you can get

Hack is correct on this one. The last carbed 5.0's that Ford built used a type of 600 vac. secondary Holley.
Ford knows just a little about these cars.
I have an '84.
With a carbed 4 eye car the sky is the limit. You can directly interchange to the later roller motor and at least 30 differant type cylinder heads.
Set of TFS and some full length headers would really wake that pup up.
I like the air-gap intake idea also........
