Default What’s it going to take?

What will it take for my mustang to get into the 5 second range 0-60? Or 14.0 seconds 1/4 mile? It'sa stock 5.0 liter V8... I say stock <IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">I have "Z" rated tires on stock rimz that's all...thanks for your input...

You could completely strip the car carpet undercoat everything but driver seat. You should get there.

you could just take out the back seat .spare and jack plus mods I listed you'll be in the naborhood

Cold air Intake, full exhaust from headers to tips, pulleys, 373s and the 180 thermo could do it if you're a good driver. You might as well spring for a throttle body, mass air flow, and short throw shifter Why stop at 5 seconds? Hell, throw on some heads and a cam too, it'll still be a daily driver <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">

Gears and juice will get you the 14's. But if you don't want to go with juice(and i don't know why you wouldn't). Go with exhaust, pulleys, cold air intake, set timing at 12-14 degrees and learn to launch your car with as little wheel spin as possible but still not boggin the engine down. Some cars come from the factory faster than others. Hope you got a fast one!
