line lock question
ok I have a line lock kit from Jegs. its brings one selenoid but i see three lines leaving the master cylinder im pretty sure two of them are the front brakes and then one is the rear which splits into two at the back of the car. do I need two selenoids to make this work?
My objective is to press the brake and be able to release it and the front brakes 2 be locked.

RE: line lock question
im really confused can u elaborate more on wat exactly u mean by use the line lock 2 split into two?
Is this using all the stock hard lines or does it involve running all new hardlines?

RE: line lock question
the line lock has 3 holes, 1 is for fluid input, the bottom 2 are for either front brake. you will need to run some new line, because the fittings aren't the same. hurst makes a kit with the right fittings and lines.

no you are supposed to block off 1 of the front lines from the master, and use the line lock to split into 2.
install the lock after the proportioning valve.

I belive the third one is for abs module maybe just hook it to the line that goes to the front brakes trace thie line so you have the right one

You will need to take the rear line on the proportioning valve off, it runs to the l/f wheel. napa sells an adaptor line (b/c the proportioning valve fitting is larger than the standars 3/16" line fitting) that you put in it's place. That line will run to the in side of the l/l soleniod. Now on the out line, you split that between the 2 front wheels. Make your lines, bleed it and hook up the electrical and you're done. Here's some pics of mine. Hope it helps ya
Since the underhood area on my car is tight for space, I monted my soleniod underneat where the lower control arm is
This is the adaptor line coming from the proportioning valve that goes to the in side of the solenoid.
Here the line on the right is going into the in side of the soleniod and line on the right is coming out of the solenoid(this is the line that you split.)
Here is the "tee" where the 3 lines come together. One in from the solenoid, the other 2 go out to the left and right front wheels.
Oh and I used a nitrous switch for activation. I didn't like the shift mounted one that came in the kit and it was broken anyways!
Honestly the hardest part of doing this is figuring out the adaptor size and fittings. The rest is a breeze.
Hope this helped ya. G/L!!!
