first off, an auto is better for drag racing then a stick. i personaly perfer a stick but i think if i was gonna build an all out drag car it would be an auto deffanitly. 2nd, just look for an 87-93 mustang lx if you like that nose better, the 86's had true flat top pistons wich makes aftermarket head selection very sparse... and by sparse i mean there is only 2 heads that fit on the motor.. the stock crappy E6 heads and trick flow twisted wedge wich are over $1000 bucks. 3rd, if you want a car that is easier to mod look for a 89-93. they have mass-air-flow and you can do a cam swpa and not really have to worry about driveability issues. Just my .02 cents.

yea ive seen alot of those front end conversion but the rear has a conversion done to it to, i mean it looks nice so i wouldnt mind buying it, im goanna look at the vin on the car in person, just one question the VIN should be under the hood rite, ive never needed to look at the vin so im not sure where it is, but yea im goanna look and make sure its correct.

no. the vin is on the dash pad in front of the driver. close to the window.

i think this guy is full of sh*t and wants to you buy a piece of sh*t the 83-86 gt bodys look like lx bodies from behind and the sides but the front bumpers were different

LX's came with 5.0's. Mines an LX with a 5.0.

By the looks of the question youre thinking only GT's had the 5.0 and that LX's had a smaller motor.

+1, the tail lights were different though, and the gt did use the lx style spoiler too.. i think it was got years 85+86.. not posative though..plus.. if you really want a 86 then get one with the 4-eye nose on it...they are reallllll sexy too..... see \/\/\/\/ (look in sig.)
