but the block does have to go to a mchine shop right? thats not something i can do on my own? who makes a good stroker kit?

correct, machine shop will be necessary. they should be able to do the machining and install the kit for you for around $400

thats not too bad for machining and install, with that i would have to get new heads and a cam and what not right? like i couldnt use what in my block now

my buddy did the 347 and said he wish he'd done the 331.. so i'd do 331.. maybe give her a lil juice too

I would do the stroker kit so you can rebuild the motor. Putting a power adder on a car with alot of miles would be a waste of money if you are able to rebuild it first.
