Cold air question

I was wondering the downs of a cold air. Will they suck up more dust, and what about sucking rain, will that hurt it? and also what about oilng your fliters when u clean them? thanks

I added a mac cai and it made a big difference.

If youre usin a CAI mounted under the bumper rain isnt the problem. Its the puddles you need to be worried about. Sometimes they are deeper than you think. Roadkill, avoid it at all costs lol. Other than that i see nothing wrong with a CAI.

I havent had no big problems, i cleaned it the other day, but i read something somewhere about oiling the filter K&N oil so it traps more dust and stuff, should i look into this and do this?

^^^ make sure you oil them. You can get the cleaning and oiling kit from most auto stores. Auto zone had one of those ping pong in a clear pipe machines (Air is sucked through the filter and the the ping pong ball goes higher with the increase airflow of the K&N) with a very dry filter. We cleaned and oiled it up and it was amazing how much higher the thing went.
