RE: no longer can i praise the stock block
thats the goal.....well more hp for sure. i was going to go for 500rwhp as it sits with just a cam and a lot of porting but now im not sure. hoping to find an older 302 block and work on that rather then working on mine. something with more nickel in it but the goal now is at least 500rwhp when we put it back together. maybe ill order an 8" crank pulley for the vortech
what doesnt help is that a couple days ago this happened to a friend of mine on his blown 95 cobra. because his motor is shot now, he and another of my friends (who could have helped me) are now working on his car.

no, i blew mine. i would have asked my friends greg and sean to help with the rebuild but greg blew his motor and since sean lives with greg, they are working on his car an all i have is my friend kelly to help with mine.
on a plus side we are pretty sure we are going to go with a 331. probably in a stock block but for sure are going to put on a main girdle and valley girdle. dont believe they are that effective but its better then nothing. possible a windage tray as well. the hopes is to hit 500rwhp with less timing and a richer afr so the tune will be very concervative to minimize detonation. i will still run my meth injection which is allowing me to run 25* total timing with an afr of 12.0:1 @10psi of boost.
