Check for any spots of major rust
Look down the side of the body from front to back and look for ripples, just incase it ight of been in a wreck and bondoed over. Also look at the spaces between the fenders and the hood, they should be relativly even. Check throughly for any large leaks, or leaks period. Definatly take it for a drive if it runs, and get it up to normal operating temp and see how it is then too.

ok so if this 82 only has 7.2 rear end i should swap from my 86 LX 3.8l? it'll have a bigger rear end?

can someone make me a list of things i should check out? lol just so i don't buy something that is not worth it. Thanks to anyone who makes me a good list.
Youll need a v8 rearend. Im pretty sure the v6 came with the same rear as 4 bangers and thats a 7.5.
