i dont really think they are gonna put a carb on a new vehicle (read: 2009 f-150, boss mustang, etc) It is hard enough to believe that they are gonna stray from the OHC stuff and go back to pushrods, we'll see though

Ok, as I understand it.......
1) the block will do everything that the Dart does but it's going to be around $6-700 cheaper.
2)Hey, can't you guy's read? Ford has ALWAYS sold carbed crate motors. I think there prices are WAY high too. Somebody got to pay for UAW help...
3) so its heavier, it's also a high tin casting with thicker metal everywhere.
4) I thinking it's suppossed to replace the A302 block which really isn't that much over a stocker anyway........

Not dissing you in any way, 2 kwik, but, its all in how you build your engine. I am sure you know how to build an engine. Detonation is the factor that you try to prevent. I have a good friend of mine that has a stock block, 331, with AFR 185s, AFM blower grind cam, Ported Polished and custom modified Cobra intake, Vortech with 11 lb pulley, main cap girdle, DSS PRO forged pistons, and h beam rods, and a Compucar 90 wet shot and Methanol Injection. He makes 475 RWHP, 482 RWTQ on motor and charger, We dynoed a 50 shot on the car and made 553/561. We figure with the 90 pills, he would make somwhere around 600 at the wheels. Multiply that out throught a Tremec 3550 trans, and you end up with around 720 crank HP. And he drives the living crap out of that thing. It was his DD, but now he bought a truck. He can drive it to any Strip and run the hell out of it and drive it home. He has had no problems, or failures with this setup over the past 2 years time.

Im just sick of seing Ford posioning its own Americans with these new poor quality engines etc, then, they turn around and try to make up for the low sales by marking up prices and cutting staff.

And they need to get rid of them dam foreign engineers I see working all the time on tv, whom no nothing about american power and put em back on thier boat.

ford is retard there is no way around it... dont get me wrong i love them but they will go under sooner or later i would bit on it... im only 19 and would be everything i own that when i die they dont exsist nemore... or there bought out by a forigen compaign like toyota who actually knows how to market there product... yea the make ricers but they no there targer market and the shot to please them.. and they do... they have great gas mileage... low mataince.... hold value... not nitorious for bad parts or what not.... just already safe and dependable... and there goin for middle age ppl looking for a good daily driver... ding ding ding ding i think they have a winning setup there... ford takes a great shelby cobra for about 42grand and jacks up the price to about 60grand... at least i have seen them goin for 60,000... but anyways thats just short its many competition the vette.... and guess what the vette raps it in performance hands down... dont argue about it... its cast and handles better... it dont have and much space... and it should cost a lot more... but it doenst... and if u have anotehr 20 grand to blow after u by hte shelbey b4 u get to a vette price then yea it would be a hell of a buy... u could get a **** load of power if u dropped another 20 grand into a shelbey... i would rap a vette... but no.. they let the dealers jack up the price and they only ppl i kno of buy htem are die hard mustang lovers... u cant run a company on just pleases us mustang guys... theres not enough of us willing ot pay no tons to get the compan up aflow... oh well enough gibber gabber... i needed to blow off steam lol

Ok, I'm a Ford stockholder. How do you think I feel when the dealers jack the price of a car up by 20-40 grand? Thats nothing but pure greed. Thats the dealer, not Ford Motor Company.
Some corporate leadership is what is needed, glad Bill Ford and his 'green' stuff is gone.
Any company that size is sort of like a ship at sea, you can't turn it instantly, everything takes time.
If I were the man in charge of Ford, I think I'd go thru every differant department except R&D and simply fire 1 out of every 3 people I saw and tell the rest to get to work. I think they are way to top heavy with managers and they cost a lot of money......

that set of block that DSS pro he has is on edge in the 550 zone....yes tune plays a great roll as do the castings which aren't control'd much from the factory as no x-ray is taken to see flaws your bud has been very lucky with that set up..not sure what type of dyno was used but hp seems a tap high for that set up. I hope it lives a long life
