i have a question about that vI, that rev limiter prevents you from going past a certain rpm right? i assume based on the name (limits the revs lol) i just want to make sure cause my accelerator got stuck twice and i went WELL over 5k rpm... around like 8k and im surprised nothing happened to my 5.0

yes..and good thing your tach is wrong as your 'puter has a 6250 rpm limit unless it was removed with a chip or a ford PRM modulor

i dont know if it does or not, the first time it happened it went all the way to the end and i turned off the key as fast as i could, the tach needle got stock all the way to the right. then i turned the car back on and reved up a little and it came back to normal, the second time it didnt go that far but it did go well into the red
