The t-5 is not junk if it has the proper internals for what he has. The t-5 is a great trans but it depends on what its behind, driveline, tire and weight. The problem with people is that they are quick to mod the engine and everything else and dont realize the the stock t-5 is not a racing trans. The only t-5 that is set up for that is the g-force or the z series. Not to mention anything other than the 2.92 first is garbage.

For everyday driving with slight to mid mods, like 80% of people on this forum, is a good trans. Its for giving and light wieght.

I am still twin turboing the vert. When I blow up the 5.0 which will happen......I am going to build a 351. After punching it to a 408, I will call up Hellion and get a very large single turbo kit. That is when I get the Powerglide with a transbrake.

This might sound like a stupid question, but all the pictures of the TKO 5 and 600 show no bell housing. Can you just reuse the one on the car stock, or do you have to buy one that fits?
