trickflow question
I just bought a 93 bone stock 5.0 LX vert and I want to get a little more power without doing any serious mods (cam, heads, etc..). I've seen a lot of good comments on the trickflow intake. I'm thinking about the street version because this car is a daily driver. What else will I need to make it work (throttle body, new injectors, MAF sensor)? Thanks in advance for any info/advice

RE: trickflow question
You dont need anything to make it work besides the intake. An upgraded throttle body wouldnt be a bad idea though. You can go with the street heat, 65mm tb and a 73mm maf or something like that. You will not need new injectors for a while, they are good for about 280rwhp.

RE: trickflow question
I believe the TrickFlow Street Heat is 70mm dia. inlet so get the 70mm TB and EGR Spacer, and a 76mm C&L MAF is best for future mods and tuning... is much more tunable than the 73mm...stock fuel rails and injectors are good. Also do all the freebie mods listed in the tech articles.

1--bump the timing and run higher octane gas
2--remove the air silencer and get a CAI or just a K&N panel filter
3--full exhaust (headers, H/X pipe, cat-back)
4--gears
5--larger MAF (73-76mm. Stock is 55mm)
6--65mm TB. Even w/ a different intake manifold at some point you won't need more TB than that (until you do heads/cam also).
That would be the order I'd go for a bone stock fox...Maybe switch #3 & 4... Just my $.02

OK I don't want to sound like a complete NOOB but...
Remove the air silencer...where and how?
NEVERMIND....FOUND IT IN ANOTHER POST....

If your car is bone stock:
1--bump the timing and run higher octane gas
2--remove the air silencer and get a CAI or just a K&N panel filter
3--full exhaust (headers, H/X pipe, cat-back)
4--gears
5--larger MAF (73-76mm. Stock is 55mm)

That's a good list. If you have an aod then I would add a manual valve body and a torque converter to it.
