Default oil puddle on engine

hey i was driving home today and i noticed my car smelled like oil from the heater. when i got home i found there was a small pubble of oil sitting on top the engine above where the water pump is mounted. any idea where it could be coming from... it looks to me like it may be coming from where the distributer enters the engine. is that possible?? any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Mine does the same thing. I think I am not getting a true seal on the lower intake manifold near the dizzy. My problem started after I had to replace the head gasket. Your is probably doing the same thing.

Dont freak out it is a small oil leak. What 5.0 doesn't leak?

yea i bet it is the intake gasket. When i got my kit in it had a paper that said not to use the supplied gaskets, to use black RTV. the regular gaskets usually dont work as good

LOWER INTAKE...alot of times people neglect to take off that sticky film paper off the gaskets...i use the orange stuff and i never had a leak yet...before i used an off brand and sure enough it leaked
