What To Do...

RE: What To Do...
^^ Thats the big debate with me. I definetly either want to build a new motor in my spare time or have a stock rebuild done on it. I rather spend a grand or two just for insurance reasons. Plus Im not sure if anyone considered this but I do have hyper pistons and I dont feel too comfortable boosting on them. I know people running 12psi on hypers but I just get nervous.

I voted H/C/I on your current block. Whenever it craps out you can just move everything over to your next block.
You know as well as I do that an H/C/I swap will be a better option, Blue!! Throw a blower on a stock top end and you've maxed it all out.

Well, that would be the cheaper route to take BUT I dont want to have to go back and do this again. Reason is that once I do this I am moving on to my 88 GT which is going to be sucking up ALL my money. And I dont want to have to rebuild two motors any time soon.

Blue your suspension is gonna be great, and you can always swap around with the top end, go ahead and have the block balanced and machined, put a 331 stroker kit in it, then h/c/i combo. This way down the road you can build up the top end or go PA easily, rather than trying to go back and install a stroker kit, jmo. I'd almost tell ya to buy a DSS 331 Shortblock w/ girdle, and then h/c/i, but it's up to you. Price in the end is only a few hundred more.

Nah, I rather build my own motor. Plus that few hundred more means a few hundred more into fuel, ignition, etc. Im about to get a 302 block and crank for $20 bucks. Im going to get some killer deals and do this thing RIGHT and on a budget.
