Default bad vibration

i asked this question earlier and i thought that it was coming from the rearend. but i was coming home a minute ago and i noticed that it is now vibrating when i rev the engine. does this sound like a motor mount? it is a very fast vibration. i have heard that sn95s have been know for breaking balancers is there any truth to that? it is really worring me because i really don't want to rebuild it right before christmas. this is my dd. i am getting an explorer motor that i was going to use for the rebuild but i wasn't going to get that until after christmas. please i need help or i am not going to be able to sleep tonight.

5.0's in general have been known for breaking harmonic balancers. But not normally, so check it, it can be anything from bad spark plugs to a bad motor mount

Try rocking the engine side to side with a crowbar or a long piece of pipe. If you can see the engine move you got a busted mount.

Whats the vibration sound like? can you feel it? Can you describe it? Get a buddy to rev the engine while your up front and see if you can get a better idea where the vibrations are coming from, up high or down low, torwards the front or rear of the engine. Hand check whatever brackets are mounted to the engine for rattles to. It could be something little. For example, a loose shield on a cat makes one hell of a racket sometimes. Speaking of which, check your cats if you still have them. If its bad enough you can feel it, even if just a little.

Look at the balancer as the motor is running, check to see if you can see any wabble to it while rotating...a spun balancer can definately cause a vibration.

it wouldnt just be reving

when my balancer went, just turning the key would make the car shake like crazy

there is a little plastic piece behind the balancer, mine shredded and was causing the belt to do weird things
