Really I'd wait till about 5k miles, but anytime after the first oil change at 500 miles is ok.

ya i would wait till around 5k. NOS/MAN is just running castrol in his until he gets 5k, it is tooslick and the rings wont seat, although if you are going to run 15 50 then that should be thick enough to go ahead and do it at 500. i bet that motor is a blast!!!
hey guys i gotta question, my motor has 110k on itm the motor is stock and i am running mobil 1 10w-30 i was wondering if it would be ok to run 15w-50 as long as the temp stays above 60 will it hurt anything on start up? would u guys reccomned this> thanks a lot!

Yeah thanks. My wife has an 03 Cobra few bolt on's and synthetic oil and my car feels alot stronger and quicker. When i get 500 miles i'm going full synthetic and taking it to have dyno tune.I get alot of people asking which car i like better I respond by telling them 2 different cars(I do like mine better for cruising) but for long trips I like my wifes car better(more comfortable). So do you think 15w 50 is ok to use (here in Florida).

No dont use 50wt oil use whatever oil you want as long as its the same weight Ford recommends, Not sure about the Cobra but normally thats 20wt oil. 50wt is too thick and wont protect very well and will hurt performance over what a 20wt oil would produce
