All the autozones where i live say they can only read 96+ cars..... How are you guys doing it?

So what are these people talking about they went to autozone and got their codes read? I dont understand. They all said they dont even have a code reader for 0bd1

obd1 is pre 95 i think..obd2 is later..here at this ZONe store they have both

cali is crazy in love with obd 2 cars.. but check at other parts stores.. good luck

OBDI is 1995 and older, OBDII is in some late 95 and newer vehicles, there are scaners from autoxray that come with cables to scan codes for all vehicles from 83-84 and newer, roughly $200 for the basic ones and upto $1000 for the Snap On ones. You can do a self test with a 12v test light and jumper wire on the harness under the hood for 87-93 mustangs, see stickies for more info.

I got a OBD I code reader brand new from Blacksnake for like $20 when he was working his old job at the parts store.
