Was at a red light and saw a eclipse gt, like a 02 with some rims drift around a corner and grab his gears. So i caught him at the next light. I was just sitting there not trying to race, until i see them look over and rev the motor. The light hits green and we both go, i pretty much took him out in 1st gear. Then he kept being a jerk off and getting on my ***.

Haha, no seriously i had to go the same way. I was a little infront of him then the light turned yellow and i saw him change lanes. I really am not trying to race because something is wrong with my car.

I've gotta say, i do the same thing. If I see a car ahead that looks like the type (ricers, and yes, even mustangs.) I'll do my best to catch it and get next to it at a light. But I don't rev the engine or anything like that. Matter of fact, when teh light turns green, i very slowly accelerate for a split second to see what they are going to do. If they all of a sudden floor it, then I hit WOT and let the boost kick in. But if they slowly drive away, then I do to.

I always give them the opportunity to initiate it, lol. Yeah, you give up a slight head start but it's rare that you can't overcome it woth over 400 RWHP

i hate you guys i wish you would stop talking about gunning it at lights reminds me of me in my stang now i really wanna drive my stang i hate going to work everyday and seeing it siting next to the shop with no trans and opening the truck to my labaron and seeing my centerforce II clutch kit

i guess we all do the same let them rev.. ha ha.. i had a truck pull up to burnout rev and when we took off i was way ahead before i eveh hit 2nd.. pretty funny cause at the next light his buddy looked over at me and gave me thumbs up and was makin fun of his friend

LoL, thats exactly why I wouldn't run against something like an old truck or some beater like a geo prizm, ford focus, escort, etc.

Because if you beat those pieces of garbage... bug deal. You're supposed to beat them. But if for some reason you lose.... it's all over, lol. It's a no win situation, so it's best to just avoid it. Ever been at the track and had an old station wagon or a gremlin stage next to you in the other lane? Talk about scary, lol. because you know he must have something in there or else he wouldn't be there. And then when he beats you your friends rag on you for weeks. There's a gremlin up here that runs in the 8's in the 1/4. But you still get ragged if you lose to a gremlin, lol.
