Default suspension question

ok, heres the thing, im a 97 gt owner, but this is about my dad's 90 lx, there is a rod that goes from the lower control arm to the sway bar, looks like its some kind of adjustment thing, im not really sure, im wondering if first of all, ne one knows what its called, and second of all, how would i go about replacing it? does the car have to be sitting like it would be if all 4 wheels were on the ground, does it have to be sitting level??? any help would be apreciated, thanks

it sounds like a swaybar end link and if it is what you are talking about all you have to do is unbolt it then put the new one in

Their cheap you can get them at parts stores. You will need to do both sides at the same time to make it easiest. Its nearly impossible to get a link in one side with the other side tightened down.
