Default smaller tires?

i want to get rid of the 225/60/16s i have to get something lower profile but my chrome ponys are in perfect shape and want to keep them, so does anyone run 245/50/16s? i think they will look ok but just curious if anyone has seen this setup, my car is lowered a little over an inch

40's would look a little nuts, at least on pony wheels IMO. Figure take another inch off the sidewall from the pics I posted.
