Default Boss 302?

i heard where ford corp. made the boss 302 with 351 heads and i was wondering if i could bolt up a 87' 302 block and 87' 351 heads, just wanting to know if the bolt patterns would bolt up, anyone know for sure, and also i would like to bore the block to be a 347 stroker would this set up be a problem? i'm not doing this right now just making plans.

you have to dump some money into making them fit. I don't think the 3hp is worth it. Just buy some AFR's

first off the boss 302 used cleveland heads and those will not fit ur block if u wanna go with the 351 w the gain is mininmal and not worth teh moeny to put them on

but if you are bent on putting them on they should just bolt up with the exception of heads bolts u might need newr ones and anythin else i may be missing someone please chime in

you need special pistons to make the cleavland heads work.. in 87 the 351w truck motor just used e7 heads. the same heads that are on 87-95 gt mustangs and lx's also.

to make the cleavland heads work you need to drill out a new coolant passage or something like that

and a different water passage u will need boss 302 pisons or a set of cleveland pistons pending upon which head u use 2 or 4v head and then with some more drilling to make for new head bolts and filling the old ones it just aint worht it
