Hey everyone, im only 16 and dont know much but where can i get my engine codes checked? my check engine light has been coming on for a few days but only on the highway .....and would anyone know what might be causin this?

 

Most likely o2 sensor

 

You can take your car to like a checker or most auto parts stores and they should do it for free. My check engine light comes on to when im holding the gas pedal in one spot for a cuple of seconds, i took it to my friends shop and the code told me it was my egr valve.

OR... you could do it your self. Very simple, simple enough to mess something up...[:@] (Oh no wait, that was me) There are quite a few links online on how to do this. Very stright forward. All you do is count the number of blinks...
