Transmission?

What are the difference between a AOD and a AODE? I have a 91 mustang lx 5.0 with a automatic and I was wondering witch one I have, and how do I tell if its a AOD or a AODE. Thanks for any help.

Mustangs had the AOD up to 92, when the AODE was installed, correct me if I'm wrong guys, but the AODE has an electric shift mech?? The Aod is all mechanical.

Hey thanks for all the info that tells me alot I was just have to get the right kit and rebuild my tranny. Do any of you know a good name of a rebuid kit and how much they are for my AOD?
