Default AFR HEADS QUESTION???????

alright i have a 306 full forged bottom end with compression on 9.8to1 with 58cc heads have a holley systemax intake, 30lbs injectors, 70 throttle body, 76mm mas air, getting a custom cam, i had my mine set on afr 185cc but i been thinking about getting 205cc heads i was wondering what u guys would think would be better?

It depends on what youre trying to achieve. The 205 will make more power but, the car wont be as streetable as it would with the 185's. Not to mention youll want a bigger cam with the 205's, so that might mean flycutting. Balancing the motor would be very benficial also. So what are your intentions?

o and i will be spraying it i just want i street car i can drive on weekends and to the shows around here and take to the track once in a while its not a daily driver or anything so not being streetable isnt really a problem

205's mite be too much heads for ur car it still is a small c.i motor
but if i were u i would email afr and ask they said that for me a 185 head would be too much and i m just doin a head and intake swap, but for u 185 would be fine

185's are way more than enough on a 306ci motor

205's if you plan on 9,000 rpm, which it doesnt sound like.

people use 205's on a 408ci

yea thats what i was thinking that what i had my mine set on but then i think i remember someone sayin that they had 205 on a 306 and it was a great combo i think it was on this site

I run 185s and are awesome on the street and pull awesome. My buddy runs 185s also on his all out drag car 306 that pulls 8000. But he is now building a 347 and going with 205s.

I'd go with 185s.
