Default How long will my tranny last?

Trick flow street kit (h/c/i), 2.5" exhausts and headers, 70MM TB and egr, adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

Factory automatic transmission.....how long would you suspect it will last putting the higher amount of horse power to it? Car has 70K easy original miles on it.

+1 Depends on how you drive the thing... if you beat the hell out of it good luck and you better start saving... if you take care of it and dont romp on it all the time it might last a week or two jp... it should last a while. Do you plan on doing any tranny work? vb, etc?

You should be OK. I would suggest getting a trans cooler, nice valve body, gears and a converter. It will make a world of difference.

Gears and converter. Gears in the tranny or are you saying rear end? Will a converter help prolong the life or will it just make it respond better?

I was referring to gears in the tranny. AOD's are dogs off the line w/ stock gears (actually dogs all around), I just put 3.90's in my 93 AOD and its like a totally different car.

The 3.90s you installed were in the rear end though, not the tranny... noob [8D]
