Getting Engine Built

Getting Engine Built
Well, I'm finally getting my 347 stroker kit put into a stock 302 block, which is going to be girdled. They're also putting on my Canfield Heads. Scorpion rocker arms, Comp Cams roller lifters. timing set, and Camshaft Innovations custom hyd roller.
I should have it back next week and them I'm going to swap the TF Street upper lower, install the 42 lb. inj, 95 MM Pro M MAF, 70 MM TB/EGR, BBK 1 5/8' inch headers, 5 psi SC, 255 lph FP, and then pull the old block and install the new engine.
I should be done in a few weeks and then off to the tuner. I'm psyched to see what type of numbers I'll be putting out.

RE: Getting Engine Built
I wish I did. My dad passed away 9 months ago and I got a portion of my inheritance.
I already had most of the stuff in my second paragraph put upgraded from 30 lb. inj, a 73 MM MAF, and 190 lph FP.
They're saying 500 HP.

RE: Getting Engine Built
If Jay Allen set you up with the heads and the custom grind you should be hitting 400rwhp NA, throw that blower on there and you will be in the high 4's rwhp range. Good luck with the block [&:]

RE: Getting Engine Built
I'm running the Canfield 195's and am just waiting for the custom grind cam to arrive. I have everything else. I'll be sure to get the dyno sheet up once everything is done, and I am hooking up with the guy whose doing the engine swap on Sunday, so we can start taking the parts off the existing block we'll be using on the new one. This guy knows his shyt and actually does testing for some performance companies. I was at the track with him and he ran a 10.5 with a NA car. Giev, he had significant mods, but he can flat out drive and I've never met anyone who knows more about Mustangs. He's beyond meticulous.
I'm worried about the block, but I've been told I'll be o.k., since it will be girdled and I'm not upping the bosst. At least not initially. I I do anything else, I'll buy a Dart block.

personally i think your gonna split that block wide open. I'll give it a month before it goes...
you should just hold off a short while and get the dart block... that way you dont have to rebuild the motor again
"If there was time and money to do it twice, There was time and money to do it right the first time!" As my father always says.
