Leaking any coolant into that cylinder? coolant will clean up a motor real nice

when i blew my hg last winter the cylinder that got the blunt of it...was pretty clean,and the exhaust valve had a hot spot on it...looks to me you saved it just in time

Are you the original owner? Previous owner may have replaced a bad valve.

Its a new motor with 9000 miles on it. 3000 with these heads. the head gaskets are new with the heads. why would the head gasket be going out? I have the TFS gaskets with the metal ring around the cylinder. The gaskets still apear new and have no signs of leaks. Does anyone think the no spark could be the problem?

I'd be willing to put money on it. If others heard a miss I'd say that there was one and now you've got proof.

Raw unburnt fuel can be a good cleaner also. Any signs on the cylinder walls? Any smell of fuel in the oil? It generally will seep past the rings some if the fuel isn't burning at all. Hard for me to believe you had a "dead" cylinder and didn't know though...
