Default Can You Say Opportunity!

My dad's 00 Mountaineer has a crank knock so we pulled the motor out and decided to buy a diff motor motor with less miles to put in it. (the parts to fix it would cost 300$ and a motor with 83000 miles is 500$ out of a wrecked 00 explorer)Guess what i'm gettin off the old one.. can you say upper and lower intake and heads!

id keep the shortblock for a stroker project later, or do the stroker kit install, sell it $2100 and profit from that

the block needs to be honed because the piston that caused the crank knock also scorred the wall.. the rings were stuck inside the piston and the piston was loose inside the cylinder wall. it was a mess.

100 added on to the 300. he wants to get the 500$ motor, it's the better way to go cuz it also gets us the parts we need for the stang.
